Branding Guide Update
At the Associated Students Executive Board meeting on April 22, Hunter Stuehm, AS communications director, presented the new AS Brand Guide. The guide goes over the AS’s official tagline, updates to the logo and colors and explains the messaging and style of the AS brand. Stuehm said that the new branding guide is shorter and more accessible, so staff throughout the AS will be able to easily apply the guidelines. Stuehm said that the guide will now be more consistent with Western’s branding so that marketing is consistent across Western’s organizations.
The board will vote on endorsing the new branding guide at a future meeting.
Alternative Transportation Fee
The board passed the Alternative Transportation Fee with a vote of seven in favor, and zero against or abstaining. The fee, which pays for student’s Whatcom Transit Authority [WTA] bus passes, will increase by 3.6%. The new fee will be $28.50, up from $27.50, for the 2020-2021 school year.
