Honors College Proposal
Senators for the Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies Kara Henry and Marissa McGinnis along with Handa presented an overview of the pros and cons of a current proposal for the creation of an Honors College at Western.
They made clear that the opposition to this proposal does not reflect an opposition to the eventual creation of an Honors College but instead reflects frustrations with the process being used to push this proposal forward. The senators feel there are a number of unanswered questions about funding and lack of transparency in the decision-making process being used to move the proposal forward.
