Western Washington University has a culture of inclusion and respect for all students attending the university. We are fortunate to have a number of organizations and student groups that encompass all works of life. As the Student Senate exists to represent student interests and advocate for various constituents, I want to continue the strong history of inclusion promoted by the Senate. Throughout my collegiate career, I have participated in a range of activities that require thoughtfulness and careful preparation, which makes me uniquely qualified to serve as student senate pro-tempore. Two of the organizations with which I have participated are Debate and Model United Nations. With both organizations, I have had to continuously practice critical thinking and conflict mediation. We need a leader who believes in others, demonstrates wisdom in tough situations and tirelessly works to assist our fellow students. I am that leader. Thank you.
