The students running to represent the College of Business and Economics are: Connor Johnson and Dylan Singh.
Connor Johnson
Hi! I’m Connor Johnson and I’m running to be one of your student senators for the College of Business and Economics. I’m running to be re-elected for this position because I believe I can continue to make a positive difference in the CBE and the University as a whole. This past year I have served on a variety of committees and groups such as ACC, CBE Policy Council, and the Student Enhancement fund, through which I have helped work to advocate for student needs such as the need for increased mental health services, zoom burnout, and other Covid responses and measures. As we transition to what hopefully will be more in-person events and classes in the fall, I want to continue to be an advocate for you and help with all the challenges that we will have face as we try to return to normal.
Dylan Singh
My name is Dylan Singh, a junior in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management program. I am a member of the Western Ultimate Frisbee team (Mud) and love to be active and outside. I currently serve as a student advocate for the CBE Equity Inclusion and Diversity committee, helping to make the CBE a better place. We are working to create a Student Success Center to help all students navigate the CBE. I am running to be able to work with students to create an environment that we all can be proud of and feel welcomed. Western claims to be a university for students, I want to ensure student voices are amplified.
