My name is Taylor Provence and I am running for the ASWWU Senate Woodring Position. I transferred into Western Fall of 2020 into the Special Education Major. I believe I am qualified for this position because I have excellent leadership skills, I am organized and am a very flexible person. I have experience in leading teams as well as experience in a classroom leading students of all abilities. I would like to be on this board for two reasons. First, I am a 25 year old undergrad student that has had to work full time while in school and I would like to be a voice for the population of students that are unable to participate is AS events because of work/family/other commitments. The second reason is I am passionate about working with Special Education and I would like to be a voice for students of all abilities. If I am elected I hope to be able to listen to the needs of the people who are often overlooked within the school and make sure their voices are heard. I want to help make this school inclusive in every way possible.
