Style Spotlight: Winter 2025

By: Ronan Lynch

Capturing Western fashion through a single lens, Wavelength proudly showcases Winter quarter’s installment of Style Spotlight. With a single click of a button on the camera, and a few awkward seconds standing on a metal grate, students highlighted their sense of fashion in the confusing winter climate of the Pacific Northwest.

On the first day, clouds dotted the sky, and it only took over an hour for the state to show how difficult it is to expect the weather forecast. Rain poured and the team scurried under the cover of Miller Hall as people continued to walk by for a picture.

The second day was glorious, to put it simply. The sun, peaking through the clouds, warmed the red bricks in the square and shined on the students and their outfits.

This quarter’s edition of Style Spotlight highlighted the student’s knack for vibrancy in a dull space and also demonstrated Washington’s uncontrollable weather. Rain or shine, students will proudly wear whatever makes them feel like who they are as a person. I can’t wait for next quarter to have even more sunny days to bring color to the camera.
