On Tuesday evening at 7 p.m., the much anticipated grand opening of Carver Gym finally became a reality. With the blue bleachers packed with eager students and alumni alike, the Viking volleyball team took the court against Simon Fraser University and left victorious. With the sparkling, new court floors christened with an exciting 3-1 win, Western’s off to a great start in this era of home-court advantages.
