I, Ebonezé “Ebon” Oluchi, have interest in being one of the Fairhaven College Student Senators.
Demonstrated, applicable experience that I bring to the table:
– Innovation: (as a former underclassmen, I self-initiated and co-led the Fairhaven Scholarship Working Group that blended economic development, DEI, and innovation together to provide financial support for Fairhaven students) While working as the AS ESP Director, I co-created and co-facilitated the first, Fairhaven “Community Resilience Town Hall” with the Fairhaven Student Senators, at that time, Marissa and Kara. Discussions around important and timely student concerns, such as daycare access and costs, were had.
– DEI Advocate: (Co-created the Fairhaven Opportunity Scholarship for BIPOC Leadership, creator and co-facilitator of the AS IEI/Inclusive Excellence Initiative)
– Relational Leadership Style: I would build upon the hard work that Marissa, Kara, and Rebeca have put in.
Community resilience for all Fairhaven students is my focus and I’m ready to be of service.
