Helping the Bellingham Community

Produced and Edited by: Shayna Dumont

Hey WWU students! We at Wavelength wanted to share a meaningful way in which you could contribute to our community. In this video, one of our members, Shayna Dumont, volunteered to help revitalize a salmon habitat with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association. Partnering with NSEA and the City of Bellingham, over 50 volunteers joined to remove invasive plant species, dispose of trash in the area, and plant over 100 native plants at Maritime Heritage Park. Wavelength was also lucky enough to interview one member from each helping organization. Sarah Brown from NSEA and Sky Hawk Bressette from the City of Bellingham.
