How WWU Students are Celebrating APIDA Month

Produced and Edited by: Abbey Raynes

We reached out to multiple student groups on campus to ask them, “How are you celebrating APIDA Month this year?” These are some of the answers and clubs!

Celebrating APIDA means highlighting the eclectic customs and cultures each group has! It was a privilege to sit down with each person, as they spoke about their own identity and how they’re specifically celebrating this month. I even learned some new things while I was interviewing folks!

A huge thank you to the Lea from the Japanese Student Association, AS Communications, and the Pacific Islander Student Association for being a part of this!! And thank you to the Pacific Islander Student Association for showing us a hula dance, it was amazing, y’all are amazing!

Check out the folks we interviewed!
