WWU Students: The Crutch of Bellingham’s Local Artistry

By: Kaeson Warnes

Bellingham thrives on its art scene. When you walk through downtown, it becomes evident that Bellingham was built on local artists and sellers. This is still true as seen through featured artists in shops like Third Planet, the large murals lighting up alleyways, and the ever-changing Waypoint Park wall. Prospective Western students are drawn to Bellingham for its unique love for small businesses. Locals continue to harp on how Bellingham and its surrounding areas value shopping locally. As we see through a quick trip to Wonderz art market, WWU students are just as enthusiastic about engaging in this flourishing art scene.
