Spikeball skyrocketing as a sport phenomenon

Get involved with Western’s team!

Western has a new spikeball club!
The AS club — working on becoming an official Western club sport team for next year — hosted a tournament on Monday, May 28. If you missed it, you still have a chance to get involved. The club is meeting Thursdays at 1 p.m. on the turf field by the Wade King Recreation Center until the end of the school year.
Next year the spikeball team will be even larger, club leaders hope, and they will host a launch event to kick off Fall quarter. After the launch, expect to see plenty of practices and meet-ups. In addition to practices, the team members hope to have the opportunity to travel to tournaments.
This past school year marked the inaugural season of collegiate competitive spikeball; Western’s team hopes to join the growing scene in coming seasons.
